We Need Your Help to Save Bolton-Cedaroak-Stafford!
The top three performing schools in the WLWV district could close! These thriving, walkable, historically relevant schools are the hubs of our community. They could be closed or consolidated and left abandoned or bulldozed. Our schools serve the highest percentages of low income and special needs students in West Linn and our small class sizes and small school model has a proven track record of providing academic equity to all students. Families move to our neighborhoods for the our small class sizes and walkable small school.
The report that started all of this was created by Flo Analytics using 2010-2020 census data. It completely misses all the students who moved into the district and gave birth. They are also using PSU data which is based on the census data. Last time it underestimated the population by over 1800 people. The new census data won’t come out until December. Let’s not forget that the last census data was collected during the pandemic when door to door was not possible. Numbers are very likely undercounted.
The District has not released last year’s annual financial report and it won’t come out until December. To catch up on what we have been doing check out publication archives.
